Van Gogh

Van Gogh

Hallo Everyone!

Good to see you.  Trust
the week went well and
all tasks on the list
ticked off!

I've never had such
success - every ticked off
task seems to lead to
another to be added......

Make yourself comfy, we
have Angela Radford with
us today

"Here today to show you how I used the
work of Van Gogh to create this card.
You cannot help but notice his clever use
of colour, one of the aspects of his work
that he is famous for and that's where I started.

Using Oxide inks I coloured two sheets of card,
one with blues and one with yellow and orange.

Here I used a Tim Holtz stencil and
water to lift off some of the colour.

Again using the same stencil I added colour
in a swirl around the stencil.

Think 'Starry Starry Night' and
you'll get the picture.

Completed this piece with text stamping
 with green ink.

And these are both completed and ready
for the next stage.

Using a Paper Artsy flower stamp by Lin Brown,
I stamped these on the yellow card with black ink
 and embossed with clear powder.

Cut out at least four of these.

Next prepare the card blank by folding
 the front towards the left.

Cut the textured card to fit the front
and inner section and attach.

Next prepare the flowers by adding a
little extra shading using Distress inks.

All ready for the next stage.

Cut away the outer petals on two of the
flowers and then curve the remaining petals.

Apply small 3D foam squares as shown
here and attach to the full flower.

Attach the blue background and then
 the flowers as shown here.

I stamped the sentiment onto a piece
of the yellow masterboard and attached
that to the inside of the card.

The card was then finished with
small adhesive gems."

Thank you Angela.  That is
a lovely card you have brought us

In fact, I'd go so far as to say it has
taken away my dread of Sunflowers
brought on by those huge pictures
of them on Classroom walls!

'Till tomorrow

Mickie xx
